West Indies’ star T20 batsman Chris Gayle remained unsold in the first session of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction at the Ritz Carlton, Bengaluru, on Saturday. England all-rounder Ben Stokes, who was bought for whopping Rs 14.5 crore last year, continued to impress the franchises in the fresh season as he was sold to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 12.5 crore. Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who played impressively for Chennai Super Kings in past one decade, was sold to Kings XI Punjab for Rs 7.6 crore.
